Harappan Civilization
Harappa The greatest Indus valley civilization popularly called Harappan civilization was one of the largest urban civilizations in South Asia. The roots of the civilization trace back to the Neolithic culture of Mehrgarh dating back to 6000 BC. As a result of Neolithic revolutions and technological innovation in agriculture led the emergence of two big cities Harappa and Mahenjodaro. It was discovered in1920's while construction of a Railway project. Excavation started after the discovery and great mysteries of early Indian civilization came to light. The ancient Indus Civilization script has not been deciphered. Harappan were enjoyed complex social structure and still many aspects of their culture remain unanswered, but other aspects of their social behaviour have been coming out from various types of archaeological studies. Harappa was a city in the Indus civilization that flourished around 2600 to 1700 BC in the western part of South Asia.
